Giving Thanks In Everything

Hi Victors,

I was scrolling through Tiktok and came across a video by pastor Mike Jr. To paraphrase, he was preaching about how his sons wanting to go to the Rod Wave concert but was afraid of the backlash the pastor would get being at the concert.  To make a long story short, they go to the concert and the son looks at pastor Mike Jr. and says “dad, Thank you”.

I was reminded of the gratitude my daughter often displays to me.  Every time I cook dinner or even buy dinner but in particular, cooking, she always says,” thank you ma”. Yes, she’s mature enough to go in the kitchen and cook something to eat herself or even drive to a fast-food restaurant to purchase food. I don’t expect a thank you because I thought, this is what I’m supposed to do as a mother, but she is appreciative.   My heart be filled with so much joy and happiness that it makes me want to continue to cook, even when I’ve worked 10 to 11 hours a day and too tired to cook, I’m motivated to give her what she’s grateful for.  It even makes me think I’m a chef and can do any dish I put my creativity to. Makes me think of the next meal. Thats probably how God does. He’s waiting to see how He can bless you again based off your gratitude towards Him.  No matter how big or small, give God thanks in it. When I went the grocery store yesterday and they had the last block of cheese for my rotel that I had my taste buds set on, ” Lord, Thank You for setting aside the cheese just for me. Even when the promise is not here yet just say, ” Lord Thank You”.

I want to encourage you today to give God thanks. I often, say, “God thank You, for the good, bad and ugly.” The Word of GOD, 1Thessalonians (AMP) says, ” in every situation no matter the circumstances, be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” Giving thanks is worship and is sweet fragrance in God’s nostrils. Imagine the sweet aroma that you smell when you smell fresh baked cookies or fresh laundry. Thats how God moves when we worship and give thanks to Him.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, we thank you for blessing us even when we didn’t deserve it.  You’ve blessed us even when we didn’t expect it. Thank You for the good, bad and ugly trials and tribulations that come in our lives.  Thank You!!!! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

God Loves, Jesus Saves🦋
